StatSheet's CAA Player of the Week for December 31st goes to Towson's Jerrelle Benimon. StatSheet's CAA Freshman of the Week goes to Jerome Hairston from Towson. Finally, Towson's Rafriel Guthrie has won StatSheet's CAA 6th Man of the Week.

Benimon was the best in the CAA in rebounding (21.0 per game). He also registered great stats in shooting (50%) and scoring (20 pts per game). The Towson senior played well for the Tigers in a win against Oregon State.

Jerrelle Benimon has been named StatSheet CAA Player of the Week three times this season. The runner-up this week is senior DeShawn Painter from Old Dominion. Honorable mention goes to junior Sherrod Wright from George Mason. Keith Rendleman was the highest ranking player from North Carolina-Wilmington, finishing sixth.

StatSheet CAA Freshman of the Week: Towson's Jerome Hairston

Jerome Hairston saw 36 minutes of playing time starting the only game for Towson. In the win over Oregon State, Hairston tallied 9 points and 3 assists.

This is a first for Jerome Hairston, who has never won the StatSheet CAA Freshman of the Week. The runner-up is Aaron Bacote from Old Dominion. Deion Clark from Old Dominion takes honorable mention. The highest ranking freshman from North Carolina-Wilmington was Craig Ponder who finished 7th.

StatSheet CAA 6th Man of the Week: Towson's Rafriel Guthrie

Junior Rafriel Guthrie, a 6-3 reserve forward/guard, played 29 minutes during the lone game for the Tigers. In the win over Oregon State, Guthrie added 8 points and 6 rebounds.

This is the first StatSheet CAA 6th Man of the Week honor for Rafriel Guthrie. Dimitri Batten, a sophomore guard from Old Dominion, is runner up. Our own Chris Dixon receives honorable mention. North Carolina-Wilmington players have not yet been named StatSheet CAA Player of the Week this season.
